Rumours of a breakup between May-December couple Kai Ko and Elva Hsiao sparked after the actor was seen celebrating his birthday with his new rumoured love interest, Chinese-American fashion boutique owner Rigel Davis, earlier in June. During a recent interview, Kai Ko finally broke his silence and refuted reports on their separation.
He said, 'Unlike what is reported, we have always been on good terms and there is no such thing as '˜reconciliation'.'
Responding to speculations that their relationship soured as Kai Ko has been chatting with an unnamed young model every night, he admitted that he meets members of the opposite sex frequently due to work, but quickly clarified, 'The concern that I show towards others might lead to misunderstandings at times'.
'She (Elva) trusts me. Nothing has changed between us. Didn't you see the photo that we posted together on our microblogs?' said the 22-year-old.
As if to give his girlfriend a peace of mind, he added, saying, 'I don't care what others say, but I will protect people who love and support me!'
Kai Ko once mentioned that he hopes to settle down by the age of 28. When asked if his plans have changed, he replied laughing, 'No. I still want to build a blissful family with kids.'
