The Taiwanese singer reportedly refused to acknowledge her cousin after the latter got into trouble
Jolin Tsai was recently criticised by her aunt for having 'no family values' after the pop star turned her back on her cousin, who made headlines for creating a fuss at the subway station in March. According to the Taiwanese media, Jolin's cousin, who is currently serving the army, did not want to return to his platoon and was seen weeping and rolling on the ground in March.
His father then stepped in and told the public that the boy was the cousin of Jolin in an attempt to salvage his son's reputation. Jolin's manager, however, denied their relation and claimed that he is only a fan.
Angered by her manager's comment, the boy's mother, who is also Jolin's paternal aunt, criticised the Taiwanese singer and her family for being 'immoral' and said that they have 'completely broken her heart'. Currently residing in America, she also presented many photos to prove her blood relation with Jolin's father, adding that Jolin's sister stayed with her when she was studying in America.
In an interview with the Taiwanese media, she accused Jolin and her family for ignoring her on purpose and threatened to take legal action against Jolin and her family if no public apology is made.
At the 2013 Hit Pop Music Awards ceremony yesterday, Jolin merely said, 'I have already clarified everything that needs to be clarified, so I have nothing else to say,' when asked to comment on the matter.
