Taiwanese star Vanness Wu will be finally tying the knot with his long-term Singaporean girlfriend, Arissa Cheo.

The 34-year-old Taiwanese singer-songwriter announced the good news on his official Weibo page. He wrote, "I did something impulsive! God bless us all." Along with the post, Vanness attached an adorable photo of the couple in their childhood with the caption "As it was always meant to be... Let's fall in love again."

"I chose to break the news on Chinese Valentine's Day because it's a romantic day," said the actor.

Being a devoted Christian, Vanness has been practicing celibacy and the couple had only hugged or held hands, so a shotgun wedding seems out of the question.

It was reported that the couple already submitted their marriage application in Singapore last week, but they will only be receiving their certification of marriage on 30 August at the earliest.
