Taiwanese singer Christine Fan is back with a new single, to be made the theme song for new film, "The Stolen Years".

As reported on Baidu, the theme song titled, "Quietly Telling You", is written by Christine herself, who also stars in a supporting role in the film as the lead character's best friend.

The single is also the first song Christine recorded in 2013 after the release of her 11th album, "Together" in May 2012.

Christine revealed, "I used my entire afternoon after the early screening of "The Stolen Years" to write the melody of the song. Just like the film, the song sends a message that there will be hard times in one's life, but one should not forget happy memories as it will support one's struggles."

Meanwhile, the romantic film, helmed by Hong Kong female director Barbara Wong is set to premiere in mainland China on 22 August.

It stars mainland Chinese actress Bai Baihe as an amnesiac patient who is trying to figure out how her five-year marriage ended up in divorce. Actor Joseph Chang stars as her former husband.
